Summary/Objective

The facilities manager is responsible for the maintenance of all Dallas-based DSI buildings and their associated systems to include fire protection/prevention, HVAC and security.  Additionally, this position ensures that all such buildings are maintained (exterior and interior) to the highest standard of cleanliness and order.  Special attention to be paid to the inventory in the 140B Regal Row facility. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures all assigned buildings are compliant with all relevant local, state and federal fire, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Works with building stakeholders to negotiate the appropriate level of service contracts for each respective building
  • Consistently monitors the quality of 3rd-party service providers and proactively makes changes/recommendations as issues arise.
  • Budgets and schedules all planned maintenance programs for a variety of building systems and services.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Plans, schedules and manages occasional building modifications through 3rd-party contractors as requested from Senior Management. 

    

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of seven years of progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field with at least two years of negotiation experience with 3rd-party vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
  • BS or associate degree with technical training in plant engineering or factory/plant maintenance desired.
  • Detailed knowledge of existing OSHA regulations for a light-manufacturing facility a Plus.
  • Strong project management skills
